Science Picnic of Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Center

Logo of the Science Picnic in Warsaw.

The Polish Radio and Copernicus Science Picnic is Europe's largest open-air event, bringing the public closer to various fields of science.

Every year, around 200 institutions from Poland and around the world attend the Science Picnic, which presents their achievements and reveals the behind-the-scenes of their daily work. A variety of scientific disciplines, be it the sciences, natural sciences, social sciences, or humanities, are represented at the Picnic.

Physicists from the Centre for the Teaching of Mathematics and Physics have been thrillingly engaging with the event since 2007. All our demonstrations are interactive, with animators encouraging visitors to experiment independently and draw conclusions from their observations, fostering a sense of excitement and engagement.
